The price depends on several factors:

• Number of holes around the frame
• Whether the holes are drilled completely though the frame or not (referred to as ‘blind’ caning which is more time consuming)
• Whether beading (edging) is included
• Complexity of the weaving pattern

You can, however, calculate a rough guide by counting the number of holes around the frame:

• Up to 100 holes: the price ranges from £1.50 to £1.80 per hole
• 100 to 150 holes: the price ranges from £1.80 to £2.20 per hole

An average bedroom chair like the one shown on this page would therefore cost around £130.00.
